Town of Derry, New Hampshire moves forward with new solar array on town landfill
The Derry, New Hampshire Town Council has finalized the contracts for a new 2.2 MW solar array to be developed by Encore Renewable Energy that will be one of the largest solar arrays in the state. Encore will finance, design, construct, install, operate, and maintain the 2.2 MW ground mounted solar project, designated Derry Solar LLC, located on a closed and capped municipal solid waste landfill owned by the Town of Derry.

Caity Hines, Project Manager – Development, recently visited Bucknell University to provide a guest lecture to a class of electrical engineering students about the university’s new solar array. During their visit, Caity gave the students a firsthand look at our work to develop, finance and construct a 1.76 MWp solar array located on the University’s campus in Lewisburg, PA.

Recently she received her Vermont state electrical journey worker S-type license after completing four years of night classes and a successful apprenticeship program. This summer she achieved her NABCEP PV Installation Certification.
Bromley Mountain Ski Resort powers up new solar array advancing sustainability at the Sun Mountain
Encore Renewable Energy and Bromley Mountain Ski Resort announced the completion of a 615kWdc solar project on land owned by Bromley Mountain in Peru, Vermont. The new project, jointly developed by Encore and Tangent Energy Solutions, will generate clean, locally generated solar power and help Bromley reach their sustainability goals. The energized solar array will generate enough electricity to power 70 average households per year and offset the emissions of 120 passenger vehicles annually.
