Ryan McKeown has been at Encore since last fall as the company’s Geospatial and Market Analysis intern. He is currently in his junior year at the University of Vermont pursuing a B.S. in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. He took the 2020-21 academic year off for a road-trip across the United States and to work full time for Encore. Prior to his internship, he worked as an AmeriCorps camp counselor with a focus in environmental education with the DREAM program in Vermont.
At Encore, Ryan conducts local, regional, and statewide GIS-based site analysis campaigns to identify parcels of land ideal for large-scale solar development. He also prepares mass outreach campaigns to target landowners in order to maximize response rates, and aids day-to-day business development including CRM management, policy research, call screening, and initial site assessment.
Ryan is passionate about climate-change mitigation, mountain unicycling, and animal welfare.
