Dairy Farm Solar is a 4MW solar project under development by Encore Renewable Energy. The project is located on approximately 15 acres off of River Road in Anson, Maine. Once complete, the project will generate renewable energy for the local grid through Central Maine Power, fulfilling the energy needs of hundreds of Maine households.
In addition to providing clean energy to the grid, the site will be planted with pollinator-friendly ground cover to provide vital habitat for endangered pollinators including insects, birds, and, in some cases, even bats. This is part of Encore’s larger promise that each project we develop benefit from agrivoltaic dual use.
Dairy Farm Solar is part of Encore’s 15MW development portfolio in Maine.
