Taegen Kopfler has been at Encore since June 2022, working as an Associate on the Project Development team. She helps the Development team prepare prime permit applications, coordinate communication with project constituents, and manage the workflow of the development process. Taegen is also active on Encore’s JDEI team, focused on building external partnerships with groups aligned in our climate justice goals.
Taegen is originally from Norwell, MA but moved to London, England with her family when she was thirteen. After high school, she went to Middlebury College, where she received a B.A. in Physics and a minor in French. Taegen has worked in several Physics labs – she was a Physics Research Assistant in Prof. Anne Godsell’s Cold Atomic Physics Lab in Summer 2020, and she spent the Spring of 2021 working on her Senior Project in Prof. Paul Hess’ Ion Trapping Lab. She has also spent one semester working as a Middle School Science Teacher in East Harlem, where she was also the head coach of the school’s girls’ soccer team.
Outside of work, Taegen can be found playing soccer, listening to music, or on a walk.
