Lilly is our Solar and Energy Storage Analysis Intern for the summer. This fall she will enter her final semester at Middlebury College and graduate with a major in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and a minor in Spanish. Lilly has pursued a variety of professional experiences that contribute to environmental sustainability. She spent the past school year conducting ESG (environmental, social, and governance) research on small businesses across the U.S. with Manomet, a Massachusetts-based non-profit.
Before that, Lilly worked with a team of university students and the Andean Alliance for Sustainable Development to plan a business accelerator for Quechua farmers, served on Middlebury College’s Environmental Council, spent two summers working on an organic vegetable farm, and was a ‘quality control specialist’ at Ocean Approved (now Atlantic Sea Farms) which looked a lot like picking starfish legs out of recently harvested and blanched seaweed.
As part of her internship at Encore, Lilly constructs models of potential solar and energy storage systems, uses GIS to evaluate project viability, and researches new markets. You can find her running, teaching spin classes, and stopping on the side of the road to look at baby sheep before 9:00 am and after 5:00 pm.
