Kelsey is originally from Branson, Missouri and is a US Air Force Academy alumnus with a degree in Behavioral Science. She is a veteran with five years of experience in Airfield Operations where she managed airport projects including replacing a multi-million dollar airfield lighting system resulting in a 90% energy usage reduction, repairing runways and aircraft parking ramps, and installing airport navigation equipment. She also trained in Air Traffic Control, led a 70-person airfield operations team, and deployed to Qatar to work in an international Airspace Management planning cell. After transitioning to the civilian workforce, Kelsey’s passion for environmental justice and spending time outdoors led her to Waterbury, Vermont and to a career in the Renewable Energy sector.
