Team member highlight: Joseph Glinski

Joseph joined the Encore team as Senior Director of Accounting in November of 2024. Joseph is a Certified Public Accountant and a seasoned finance leader with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, specializing in accounting, finance and asset management. Joseph brings a strong background in strategic finance, complemented by deep technical expertise in HLBV accounting, tax equity, energy credits and asset optimization. Prior to Encore, Joseph was a foundational team member at one of North America’s leading renewable energy asset management firms, where he established and scaled the company’s accounting and finance function, across technology implementations, acquisitions and building and maintaining investor relations.

Joseph graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with degrees in Finance and Accounting. Outside of his professional life, Joseph enjoys an active lifestyle with his family, spending time running, biking and engaging in strategic board games.

3 Questions to get to know Joseph

What does a sustainable future mean to you?

This is such a great question. Over my career, I’ve been fortunate to work across different areas of renewables—solar, wind, and renewable natural gas. To me, a sustainable future means continued investment in innovative renewable technologies and creative ways to finance those initiatives. It also involves educating the public, promoting greener options, and ensuring we have a secure and resilient renewable infrastructure in place.

What’s your favorite way to spend time outside?

When I’m outside, I love mountain biking with my three boys, relaxing by my pool, walking with my two dogs, or going for a good run.

What’s a great book or podcast you’ve engaged with recently?

As for books or podcasts, I’ll admit I’m not much of a reader, but I’m a big true crime fan—anything in that genre has my attention!
