2.3MW
As part of its continuing close partnership with Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC), Encore developed and constructed a 2.3MW solar project sited on a closed landfill in Jericho, VT. The project was developed concurrently with a 2.1MW project on a former gravel pit in Jericho. Upon completion, these projects will bring the total number of arrays developed and constructed for VEC to four, with a total capacity of nearly 8MW. The Jericho Landfill project was commissioned in November 2021.
Encore is also working with VEC and project finance partners to deliver a stand-alone 4MW / 8MWh lithium-ion battery energy storage facility at the Jericho landfill site. The battery will be used by VEC to ameliorate the cooperatively-owned utility’s exposure to regional peak demand events within the New England ISO.
