Grid modernization carries many different meanings, but industry leaders can all agree that an updated, flexible, resilient grid is key to carrying out the clean energy transition. Notably, the Midwest and Northeast were some of the more active regions for grid modernization policy and regulation in 2023, where many states took 20 or more actions toward an upgraded grid.
