Encore Renewable Energy’s General Counsel Meets with Vermont Law School Energy Clinic to Discuss How the Law Can Effect Change in Renewable Energy Development and Vermont’s Energy Landscape

Encore Renewable Energy General Counsel, Phillip D. Foy, was a guest lecturer for the Vermont Law School Energy Clinic on July 23, 2018. The clinic is a means by which students can “progressively develop the knowledge, skills, and values integral to the field of energy law and policy, while helping clients meet local energy needs with reliable, clean, and affordable resources.” Mr. Foy spoke with students about his educational and professional experience, and what it means to work in the renewable energy sector in Vermont. Additionally, the lecture provided an opportunity for students to learn about the current state of Vermont’s renewable energy field, the State’s efforts in achieving goals set by the Renewable Energy Standard, and what needs to be done to ensure those goals are met.
