Encore CEO Chad Farrell served as Guest Speaker for VELCO’s monthly full team meeting on April 2, 2021. In accordance with VELCO’s suggestions, Chad provided remarks about his personal journey from the founder of Encore as a small fledgling renewable energy services outfit to CEO of a leading regional renewable energy development and construction business. He also provided thoughts about the numerous major transitions currently underway from the COVID crisis to the various social justice movements and through the energy transition and response to the climate crisis. Chad concluded with thoughts about the future of renewable energy in Vermont as a source of resiliency and energy security in a future dominated by increasing environmental challenges due to a changing climate, as well as a future energy landscape dominated by increasingly cost competitive sources of renewable energy.
