Newark, NJ – Blake Sturcke, Encore Renewable Energy’s CFO and COO, delivered a presentation on June 19, 2018 at the Brightfields conference hosted by the New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII), in conjunction with Brownfields Listings. Brightfields 2018 is a national solar energy development event that includes educational sessions for public and private landowners exploring the value of solar. Mr. Sturcke’s discussion centered around the overall development process utilized when considering a solar brownfield siting including the permitting, financial and technical /construction aspects of commercial scale solar PV projects designated on closed capped landfills. He noted regionally that the Northeast leads in regulatory incentives, detailing Vermont policies along with Encore’s role developing projects on landfills and brownfields, including the 5MWdc Brattleboro Landfill Project and the 2MWdc South Burlington Landfill Project.
