Owen is Encore’s newest team member. He joins the business development team as a Geospatial and Market Analysis intern for the fall. He is currently a senior at the University of Vermont, majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Community Entrepreneurship. During his time at the University of Vermont, Owen has held various leadership roles within the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, including chapter President. He is currently an officer on the FSL Sexual Violence Prevention Task Force and a member of the UVM Ski and Snowboard Club.
He has past experiences installing solar projects for Green Earth Energy, a residential solar energy contractor. Additionally, Owen has had some stellar volunteer experience. This includes work with non-profit organizations to advocate for improved water quality in Lake Champlain, as well as planting shade trees to increase wildlife habitats and decrease pollution.
Owen is currently interested in grid edge solutions, sustainability, and climate policy. He is actively working toward completing his NABCEP PV Associate certification and eventually plans to pursue an MBA with a specialization in sustainability.
For fun, he enjoys snowboarding, surfing, cliff jumping, various racquet sports and cooking for his friends.
