Powering sustainable industry with renewable energy

Danyow Road Solar is a 4.95 MW solar project located  in Sheldon, VT. The project is part of Encore’s ongoing work with a Vermont-based foam glass gravel manufacturer Glavel and Green Mountain Power on a special contract to allow Glavel to procure the clean energy benefits from a new, locally generated source of carbon free electricity. Specifically, Glavel is interested in securing a sufficient quantity of renewable energy credits (RECs) to support its go-to-market strategy of providing an insulating material with the lowest embodied carbon content in the industry.
