Oakland Landfill Solar

Encore assisted Searsport, Maine-based SunDog Solar with securing project financing for a ~400kW project sited on the Town of Oakland, Maine landfill. The project will result in significant cost savings to the Town’s electric bills through participation in a power purchase agreement that will allow the Town to purchase electricity from the array at a rate below the Town’s current blended electricity price from Central Maine Power. The project will also allow the Town to secure title to all renewable energy credits generated by the facility. The project was commissioned in Q4 2020.
