Carlos Melendez

VP of Asset Management

Carlos Melendez is the Vice President of Asset Management at Encore Renewable Energy, responsible for the asset management oversight of the company’s solar and energy storage portfolio. He brings over 20 years of experience spanning engineering, construction, and asset management across solar PV, wind, and battery storage — in both domestic and international markets. Prior to joining Encore, Carlos held senior asset management roles focused on performance optimization, O&M strategy, and developing and implementing the processes and systems to scale asset management operations. He holds a BSc. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA, from Schulich School of Business and has completed executive programs in business and energy. Outside of work, Carlos enjoys the outdoors and reading.
