Encore grows team 57% in first half of 2022, building a positive and inclusive workplace culture and talented team to lead the energy transition
Encore Renewable Energy, a leading community scale solar and energy storage developer, has been named a 2022 Best for the World™ B Corp™ in recognition of its exceptional positive impact on its workers. Best for the World is a distinction granted to Certified B Corporations (B Corps) whose verified B Impact Scores in the five impact areas evaluated in the B Impact Assessment — community, customers, environment, governance, and workers — rank in the top 5% of all B Corps in their corresponding size group.
Encore earned this honor because of employee centered initiatives such as its nationally leading parental leave policy, deep commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and justice, prioritizing personal development and mental health both in and out of the office and fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.
This honor comes alongside rapidly scaling the team to meet the challenges of a rapidly warming world, growing 57% in the first half of 2022 alone. New team members are adding additional capacity across the company in Business Development, Project Development, Engineering, Procurement and Construction, Finance, as well as Asset Management.
“Our team is unquestionably our greatest asset and it’s an honor to have that value recognized,” said Chad Farrell, CEO and Founder of Encore Renewable Energy. “Building a clean energy economy company will only be successful if we have the right people leading the charge. Each member of our team is playing a critical role in accelerating the energy transition here in Vermont, across the Northeast and beyond and we’re deeply committed to building a workplace that is safe, inclusive and open, where team members feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves to the team and the work in which we are collaboratively engaged every day.”
