Basile will lead Encore’s Project Development team to deploy half a gigawatt of renewable energy assets over the next five years
Burlington, VT — Encore Renewable Energy, a leading solar and energy storage developer and long-term asset owner, announced Jackie Basile as its new VP, Head of Development. Jackie brings nearly two decades of experience in environmental science, permitting, and solar development. She will lead the company’s project development team to deliver half a gigawatt of new solar and energy storage assets over the next five years.
Prior to joining Encore, Jackie developed community and utility-scale solar projects throughout the United States, engaging with various utilities, local permitting authorities and regulatory agencies. Jackie excels in navigating complex regulatory environments and guiding project development efforts towards successful outcomes. At Encore, she will lead the growing project development team as the company expands into new markets and deploys innovative, community-centered practices such as agrivoltaics.
“Each megawatt of solar added to the grid is important, but so is who’s developing that megawatt, and Encore’s integrity really stands out to me,” said Jackie. “The company’s commitment to developing projects and conducting business in a socially responsible way sets a compelling example for the industry. I’m excited to lead the project development team into Encore’s new phase as an Independent Power Producer with national influence.”
With her extensive experience in the complex procedures of renewable energy project development, Jackie is poised to ensure that Encore continues to expand its growing pipeline with the care and velocity required to drive the energy transition.
“Our project development pipeline has grown dramatically in recent years and expanded into new states across the country,” said Chad Farrell, Encore founder and co-CEO. “Jackie’s expertise in project management, systems and processes, and mentorship will play a defining role in Encore’s mission of delivering energy’s second act through the responsible development and deployment of community-scale solar and energy storage assets.”
